What's new
The Quest QorePortal team works diligently to respond to customer feedback and make frequent improvements to the product. With that goal in mind, the following changes have been implemented in the most current instance of the QorePortal.
May, 2021
Enhancements
The following enhancement has been made to the QorePortal Help Center:
- Updated Foglight subscriptions and licensing workflow: Foglight no longer offers non-subscription licenses. The topics and images in theQorePortal Help Centerreflect this change.
April 21, 2020
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Performance improvements for main dashboard: To improve application performance, the timespan for dashboard data is limited to a maximum of 30 days. When selecting a custom date range, the data displayed on the dashboard will be truncated to display no more than 30 days from the current date.
Note: The date range for QorePortal reports is not affected by this change.

New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Failure Report. A new report type, the Failure Report,
has been added to QorePortal as a beta feature. This report aggregates and displays errors from Cores,
protected machines, and repositories sources for a user's organization. Each of these reporting levels is accessible from a separate tab in the Failure Report. This report uses the following input parameters:
- Cores. Time Period, Organizations, Cores, and Event Types (command, event, or task failures).
- Protected Machines. Time Period, Organizations, Cores, Machines, and Event Types.
- Repositories. Time Period, Organizations, Cores, Repositories, and Event Types.
As with the other QorePortal report types, you can do the following:
- From the Analysis page under Reports, you can run an on-demand report to generate in real time.
As you change the input parameters, the information on the page refreshes.
Note: While the report data is collating and generating, you will see an animated set of ellipses.
- From the Analysis page, you can click Save to save the report parameters in the Saved Reports page.
- From the Analysis page, you can click Schedule to schedule this report to generate with fresh data on a recurring basis (daily or weekly, in this case).
- From the Analysis page, you can click Print to send the report results to a printer or to save it as a PDF file.
Note: As a beta feature, the Failure Report title is depicted with a "Beta" label, to indicate that some aspects of this feature are expected to be improved in future deployments.
For example, since this report requires manipulation of hundreds or thousands of event types, performance is slow in this initial version. To improve performance for the report, reduce the number of records required to generate the report . You can do this by narrowing the time period range, or by clearing the event type "Event" under the Types drop-down filter.Quest software is happy to receive your feedback about the usefulness of this report. Please send feedback using our Ideation portal. From the QorePortal, expand the user profile drop-down menu, and select
Submit an idea.
To improve performance for the report, you can clear the Events option.
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Changed dashboard template logic.
In prior iterations, a new template was saved each time a change was made on the Dashboard. Starting from this release, Dashboard changes
are not auto-saved. Instead, when you make a configuration change to items displayed on the dashboard, to keep the change you must explicitly
save the new layout. Create a new template as follows:
- From the main dashboard or from the dashboard for any category, make the configuration changes you want to keep.
- From the top right of the QorePortal UI, under the portal header, click
Expand to expand the Dashboard Settings side panel.
- Click Create template from current.
- In the Add New Template dialog box, in the dashboard template name field, enter a descriptive name for the new dashboard template.
For example, replace default text "Dashboard 1" with "Events, Tasks & Commands dashboard."
- Then click Add New Template.
The dialog box closes, and your new template is saved.
- Scalability improvements. Added additional service bus to the QorePortal back end for port 443, to improve throughput capacity and efficiency when managing multiple Rapid Recovery Cores. For more information about ports used by Rapid Recovery, see Knowledge Base article 119905, "Default ports used by Rapid Recovery."

New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Resend QorePortal invitations. There are three statuses for QorePortal users, which you can see on the Users page when sorted by sort by Last activity: users who were invited but not yet activated, inactive users, and recently active users. After this coding change, QorePortal administrators can re-send email invitations to users who previously did not respond to the initial invitation. Before the change, re-sending invitations required the administrator to delete pending accounts and re-add them.
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Replication Report improvements. Additional information is now available in the recently added Replication Report. In any replication scenario, the source Core statistics for Transmitted data is available in Rapid Recovery Core's Monitor Active Task window. This information is now available in the QorePortal Replication Report.
- Updated Help Center topic. The Help Center topic Searching for users has been updated to reflect current functionality and the updated UI. Changes include:
- Activity for users is now based on the most recent login to the QorePortal, not the license portal; reference to the license portal in this topic has been removed.
- Sort by is now described as a filter of the search bar.
- Behavior of the portal has now changed. When you click Users, there are two results. When you click on the name of a single user in the filtered Users page, the Roles page appears. The topic has been updated accordingly.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Report statistics for today. When the time period for reporting is greater than one day, there was a discrepancy in which today's statistics were not included in the totals in the statistics table following later in the report. This has been fixed for all reports as of this release.
- - Protected Machines Connectivity widget improvements. In the first iteration of this widget, the number of machines listed when you drill down by clicking on one of the statuses (online, offline, auth error, loading, or failed) was incorrect. This code fix ensures that the Machine Type filter is applied to these statistics which now shows correct data.

New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Replication Report. A new report type, the Replication Report, has been added to QorePortal as a beta feature. Modeled on the Backup Report, this report features three main sets of data.
- The Summary shows a count of replicated machines, Core servers, and failed and successful replication transfers.
- The Replications (UTC) chart shows (in Coordinated Universal Time) a stacked bar summary chart of replication transfers (with success, warning and error statistics).
- The Replication Statistics by Machines table contains replication statistics per replicated machine.
Note: Replication includes a minimum of two Cores (the source Core on which your machine is protected, and the target Core that holds the replicated data). This report provides information reported by both Cores, and the statistics reflect that accordingly.
For example, for simple point-to-point replication, this table contains a row for each machine on the source Core that is replicated. For these records, the "Core Server" column lists the originating source Core; the "Related Core Server" column shows the receiving target Core; and the "Task type" reads "Replication."
Another row exists in the table for each replicated machine. The "Core Server" column shows the target Core; the "Related Core Server" column shows the source Core from which the information is replicated; and the "Task type" reads "Remote Replication."
If replicating from point to multipoint (replicating to two different target Cores), one record exists for the source Core, and two records are listed, one for each target Core.As with the other QorePortal report types, you can do the following:
- From the Analysis page under Reports, you can run an on-demand report to generate in real time. As you change the input parameters (start and end time period, organization, and machines), the information on the page refreshes.
- From the Analysis page, you can click Save to save the report parameters in the Saved Reports page.
- From the Analysis page , you can click Schedule to schedule this report to generate with fresh data on a recurring basis (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly).
- From the Analysis page, you can click Print to send the report results to a printer or to save it as a PDF file.
As a beta feature, the Replication Report title is depicted with a "Beta" label, to indicate that some aspects of this feature are expected to be improved in future deployments. If using replication in your environments, Quest software is happy to receive your feedback about the usefulness of this report. Please send feedback using our Ideation portal. From the QorePortal, expand the user profile drop-down menu, and select
Submit an idea.
In cases where retention policies prevent information from appearing in the replication report, a notification appears, indicating "No data to display, please verify your Portal Data Retention Policy settings for more details." The bold text is a hyperlink that opens the relevant settings.
The QorePortal includes some new parameters to depict useful replication information. In the "Related Core" column of the per-machine report table, you may see a dash or "Unknown Core." This represents data missing because the records pre-date the existence of these parameters. Eventually, data on the QorePortal will be replaced by fresh data and the proper statistics are then expected to be listed.
- New dashboard widget. The Protected Machines Connectivity widget is now available on the main dashboard. This widget lets you drill down to a specific problematic machine if that machine is protected in one of your Cores. This discrete ability gives users more flexibility than drilling down into an aggregated list of machines such as from the System Health widget.
Note: If you do not see this widget in your main dashboard, from the dashboard side panel, click
Expand dashboard settings and select Machines Connectivity.
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Tags now include validation. When creating or updating tag names in the QorePortal, character-level validation is now applied. The set of characters permitted for a tag include:
- All English alphabetic characters (a - z, and A-Z)
- Digits 0 through 9
- Question mark, exclamation point, underscore, and hyphen
- Link to license portal. On the user account profile drop-down menu, under interactive training, we have added a new License Portal hyperlink to connect to the Rapid Recovery License Portal.
- Navigation improvements (tool tips).
When your cursor appears over the organization name on the Organization page, you can now view tooltip text. - Filter improvements on Machines page.
On the Machines page, under Systems, new filter items includeProtected,
Replicated,
Virtual Standby, and
Recovery Points Only.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- User profile fix: A minor user interface defect has been fixed related to second and subsequent sequential changes to the user name in the User Profile page under Settings. Prior to this code change in the QorePortal, if you changed the user name in the profile, and then tried to change the name again immediately, the modal window contained the previous user name. The child window now refreshes and shows the updated user name.
- Browser-specific report printing improvements. Printing QorePortal reports was optimized for Google Chrome. Until these code fixes were introduced, printing reports from Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge included overlapping and misalignment of some text. These issues have been corrected.
- Filter behavior adjusted. Before this code fix, when a filter is applied or removed, the Filters menu did not move enough to show the full contents of the search bar. This behavior has been fixed.
- Label shortened and clarified. The
Access Core's UI label has been changed to
Core Console in drop-down menus accessible from the
More menu. For example, on the Cores page under Systems, when viewing a Core, select
More to see the updated
Core Console option.

Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Help Center icon moved to header. The Help Center is the online documentation for
QorePortal. Previously, to open the help center, you needed to click on the
user account drop-down menu and select
Help Center. This option has now been promoted to the top right side of the header, and is available on every page of the QorePortal.
- Search filter improvements. To enhance usability, each time you select a search criterion, its icon now appears above the search bar. Selected filter criteria also remain highlighted in the list of possible search filters below the search bar. This provides a clear indication of which filters are enabled when searching QorePortal. You can click the X for any selected filter to remove it from the set of selected filters.
- Search systems GUI modification. When searching systems, the icon to the right of the search bar now shows a computer instead of a magnifying glass, to convey that computer systems are the result of the search.
- Tagging improvements. When browsing QorePortal records in a list, if you click on existing tags, a drop-down list appears showing each tag. If you select an existing tag, that tag is automatically added to the search criteria to filter for QorePortal entities containing the selected tag.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Ratio corrected in printed report. Previously, when printing a backup report, the ratio column in the printed output was uncolored, which did not match the output on the on-line report. This printing error has been corrected.
-
Add License function enabled by default. Within QorePortal Settings, on the Licensing page, you can register and view information about licenses for Quest products visible on the QorePortal. This includes Foglight, as well as Rapid Recovery standard and phone-home licenses, and hardware appliances running Rapid Recovery.
Prior to fixing this defect, Foglight users who did not have their Rapid Recovery software licenses registered in the QorePortal could not see Foglight licenses listed on the Licensing page under Settings in the portal before clicking the Foglight link at the top of the page. This issue was related to the underlying software group membership in the Rapid Recovery License Portal.

Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Improved Help Center navigation. In keeping with User Experience Design (UX) principles, navigation for the
Help Center has been analyzed and reconfigured to be more intuitive.
Once you open the Help Center, the topics in the header include some of the information you need first:
- Connecting Cores includes relevant procedures such as how to connect a Core to the portal, and how to disconnect a Core currently associated with the QorePortal.
- What's New contains release notes for each new deployment of the QorePortal, letting you view new features, enhancements to portal functionality, and explaining what fixes are included.
- Introduction to QorePortal provides , to help you understand recent changes; and an introduction to QorePortal. The Help Center search field appears in the center of the Help Center page, letting you search on key words, terms, or topics. Each round icon under the Search function links you to relevant documentation categories for working with QorePortal.
Below these links, in the center of the Help Center page, the Help Center search field appears. This lets you search the Help Center using key words, terms, or topics. This function did not change.
- Managing users, roles and permissions.
- Working with data in the portal.
- Managing QorePortal reports. These updated topics describe working with reports, including new topic "Working with QorePortal reports."
- Improved Help Center content. Again considering UX principles, Help Center
topics have been refreshed, updated, and expanded upon to provide guidance at a more detailed level.
- Enhanced consistency. Each help topic uses consistent terminology, formatting, and icons to help you navigate.
- Connecting and disconnecting Cores. In addition to describing how to add a Core to the portal, a new topic describes how to prevent a Rapid Recovery Core in your environment from connecting to the QorePortal.
- Adding, changing, or removing a role. This topic clarifies aspects of working with roles.
- Working with data in the portal. This category contains all new content, this describes searching, filtering, and working with tags in the portal.
- Working with QorePortal reports. This new topic describes in general how to work with QorePortal reports, including generating, viewing and exporting, and saving reports. It also provides context to help you understand the results when you generate a report.
Under the search field, three circular icons appear. Each represents a category of Help content, including:

New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Search tags feature. Previously, search filters included a binary ability to identify data elements for which tags were assigned.
With this update, you can now include the content of any tag in a search; the resulting found set includes the tag value you
included in your search criteria.
Consider the example of an organization with three locations: Mumbai, New York, and Tokyo. You can create a tag for each geographic location. Once you tag your objects accordingly, you can then can filter Cores, protected machines, repositories, or commands by geographic location.
- Printing reports. You can now click Print from any generated or saved report.
Note: In the first iteration of this feature, the output has been optimized for Google Chrome browsers.
- New user notification settings. When you select your name from the user account drop-down menu, and then click Settings in the left navigation menu, the User Profile page appears. Previously you could only update the display view of your first and last name. This update includes the addition of user notification settings where you can set preferences for receiving email notifications about most QorePortal events, including failed login, expiring group licenses, newly connected Cores, changes in license pool, new or removed users or groups, and full repositories.
Note: At this time, QorePortal email notification settings are synchronized in both directions with email notification settings on the Rapid Recovery License Portal.
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Date and time filters. In filters using date and time ranges, the UI has been updated for better clarity. Heading "DATETIME RANGE" has been updated to "DATE AND TIME RANGE," and filters "Set start date time" have been updated to read "Set start date and time."
- Renamed Tags filter item. When using a filter to search for a taggable entity, the headings in the filter window appear at the top of each filter category. Under the TAGS category, the filter item is now labeled "Tagged" instead of "Tags" for clarity.
- Improved visibility for reserved licenses. In list view on the Organizations page, license consumption information appears in a column to the right of the organization name. The display view for license consumption details next to the value has been enhanced for improved readability.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Corrected Add tags function label. As of this release, if no tags exist yet for a taggable entity, the
More menu option to assign a tag to an item is labeled
Add tags. As in the past, once one or more tags are assigned to taggable element, the
More menu option is labeled
Update tags.
- Plans no longer visible. In the QorePortal, if a user was a member of an Appliance group, the Plans page under settings appeared. This is corrected. Additionally, in the Roles page under Settings, the Plans permission has been removed.
- Reader role corrected. For the tags functionality only, until this update, the Reader role previously had privileges to create new tags.
- License pool consumption viewable. Prior to this update, license pool consumption information was not visible in list view on the Organizations page for users invited to sub-organizations.
- Item count label corrected.. Previous versions of the QorePortal included an "Items per page" count on any list view, Before this update, the text on this item count label was cut off, regardless of adjustments the user made to the browser. This label is now fully visible in any view.
June 24, 2019
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Display of Tags icons. The display of tags was improved to ensure they are visible immediately after creation. Previously, it was sometimes required to clear the browser cache before new tags display.
- Repository metadata improvements. The UI now automatically refreshes when a new repository is added.
- Connection issues fixed. An issue temporarily prevented the connection of Cores to the license portal when communication with the QorePortal was enabled.
June 6, 2019
New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Tags functionality. The QorePortal team has added the ability to tag entities.
In the portal, you can now apply a text tag to most objects in the Systems category (Cores, protected machines, and repositories).
You can also tag commands initiated
on the portal, and task and event information imported from a Rapid Recovery Core in your portal.
To create a tag, click the
More menu for the selected Core, protected machine, repository or command listed in the portal, and then select Update tags. In the Update tags dialog box, type tag names in the new tag text box, pressing [Enter] after each new tag name. When satisfied, clickUpdate tags. The page refreshes, showing your new tags.
Following are features of tags:
- Taggable entities include Cores, machines, repositories, commands, events, and tasks.
- When creating or updating tags, best practice is to avoid the use of any of the following special characters: "/[:];|=,+*<>
- You can apply any number of individual tags to a taggable entity. Tags appear in the order they are created.
- Once an item is tagged, the first three letters are visible in list view. For example, if you create a tag named "Old,"
all letters are visible:
- In list view for any taggable entity, you can see up to three tags. If four or more tags exist, the first two tags
are visible, and then you see a plus sign with the numeral indicating how many more tags exist for the selected item.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Dashboard widget filtering. Widgets on the dashboard provide statistics based on the time period shown at the top of the dashboard. However, the date range filter was not being applied, resulting in too many records being returned. For example, if you saw 2 new commands on the dashboard widget, and clicked the numeral 2 on the widget, more than the most recent two commands were listed on the Commands page. The date range filter now functions as expected.
- In-progress commands. Prior to this update, commands that were in progress showed and end date and time on the Commands page.
- Commands status. When detail for a command is expanded, in some cases the status was empty. The correct status now appears.
- Report labels. When viewing the Backup report on the Analysis page, column headers for the backup statistics column appeared incorrectly when re-sizing the table. Report headings now display correctly.
May 13, 2019
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Improved navigation. When browsing the Machines page under Systems, based on customer feedback, the QorePortal team added navigation controls above the machines table as well as below it when multiple pages are required to contain all found records. This precludes the need to scroll when you navigate to the previous or next page.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Duplicate command records. In some cases, prior to this code fix, the Commands widget contained duplicate information for some commands.
- View license error. On the Licensing page under Settings, when you click
More and select the
View button, the License page to view non-phone-home licenses did not open.
- Replication errors. Prior to fixing this defect, attempting to pause, force, or resume replication of a protected machine from the portal resulted in the error "Nullable object must have a value."
- Retention policy error. On the Tasks page under Systems, an uninformative error ("No data to display") appeared if your search included date ranges older than retention settings allowed.
- Mismatch between reported and viewable events. In some cases, the task or event numbers displayed on a widget in the main Dashboard did not match the amount of listed records on the detailed Commands page view.
- Unclear confirmation message. When removing a sub-organization from the portal, the entity name was not included in the confirmation message.
- Unclear data labels in report. When viewing a Backup report, if the window size or length of data in columns was too small to display, the full display value did not appear in a pop-up window when hovering the cursor over the relevant field.
April 2, 2019
New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Clickable Core URL link. A link to the Rapid Recovery Core Console for the relevant Core has been added to the portal UI, to make it easier to access the Core you are viewing on the QorePortal. On the Cores page under Systems (when you expand the detailed view of any Core), you can now see and click on the URL for the Core. When you click the
More menu for a specified Core, you can now select
Access Core's UI. The Core login appears in a new window or tab.
Note: This feature is intended for Cores that are visible on the same network. If the Core shown in the QorePortal is not on the same network, clicking the URL results in an error.
- Ability to filter by date range. You can now filter information in a found set by date and time. This feature is accessible in all filters used for commands, events, and tasks.
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Performance improvements for main dashboard. The timespan settings are now adjusted for a maximum of 90 days, to preclude overload of the system that in some cases prevented the dashboard from loading on a timely basis.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Widget details follow selected timespan setting. The timespan established in Dashboard settings now affects the detail for events, commands, and tasks when you drill down from the dashboard. For example, if you set the Timespan setting to Last 24 hours, and click on a widget (for example, Integrity Checks), only events that occurred in the last 24 hours, when adjusted for Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), display in the expanded list view. If no checks were performed in the last 24 hours, then older integrity checks no longer appear in the list view.
- Backup report scheduling corrected. When scheduling a backup report, until this fix, the scheduled time on which the report runs had advanced an hour. For example, if you set the report to run daily at 8:55 PM and click Save, the report generation time was set for 9:55 PM. Scheduling now works as expected.
- Backup scheduled report statistics inclusive. After this fix, when viewing widgets on a saved Backup report, the statistics on the graphic match the same statistics shown in the list view below.
- Performance improvements for main dashboard. The timespan settings are now adjusted for a maximum of 90 days, to preclude overload of the system that in some cases prevented the dashboard from loading on a timely basis.
March 18, 2019
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Clarified license usage label and widgets. Organizations use only a single licensing model; most use an enterprise license pool, whereas DL appliances use capacity-based licensing. On the Organizations page of the portal, the labels related to licensing have been improved. For example, if you have a license pool of 10 licenses available, and are protecting 4 machines, the license column value displayed was previously "4 MACHINES." Now the label indicates "4 of 10 LICENSE POOL USED, " which now indicates both your full license pool and the number of licenses consumed. Additionally, now only information relevant to your licensing model appear as widgets on the Organization page.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Backup report end time corrected. Prior to this fix, end time for a backup report used local time. All times are now converted to UTC. The UI is labeled accordingly.
Note: Because time is converted into and shown in UTC, a report for today may include data that seems to be from yesterday. The data is correct; it is the conversion from local time to UTC that causes what seems to be a discrepancy.
- Backup report fixed to display all groups. Prior to this fix, not all groups or subgroups of an organization appeared in the Backup report.
- Organization refresh issue fixed. An issue temporarily prevented the update of some license consumption information between the QorePortal and the source of information in the license portal.
February 11, 2019
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Synchronization between license portal and QorePortal. Prior to this code fix, QorePortal could not process messages from the license portal due to the large amount of license-related information received from the license portal. The code was refactored to send only required information between portals, and to improve processing by storing current license state by groups.
- Extra options appearing when viewing a Foglight organization. This defect was visible only for customers integrating Foglight with the QorePortal. Before this code fix, when a Foglight organization was selected on the Systems page under Organizations, only Foglight-related servers were expected to appear as navigation options. Inadvertantly, additional options (such as Cores, Machines and Repositories) were visible until this update.
- Foglight options visible on the Systems page for appliances. This defect was visible only for customers monitoring storage appliance information in the QorePortal and who also integrate Foglight with the QorePortal. Foglight servers should not be a navigation option from the Systems page of a storage appliance and software group. Prior to this code fix, the FL Servers option was visible (with no data) when an organization with appliances was displayed.
January 18, 2019
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Fixed performance issue when loading the main dashboard. In cases where an overly large amount of information is to be processed (for example, data for a busy environment when timespan was set to 365 days), the main dashboard was slow to process and in some cases could not display the required data. After this code fix, the problem is resolved, and the maximum timespan available for viewing dashboard widgets is 90 days.
January 10, 2019
New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Ability to export a system list. This release of the QorePortal introduces the ability to export the displayed list of systems. Under Systems, when viewing Cores, Machines, Repositories, or FL Servers pages, click the
Download CSV report icon to download the list in comma-separated values (.CSV) format.
December 24, 2018
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Organization subgroup display issue resolved. In specific cases, some customers experienced an issue on the Organizations page when expanding the tree structure of organizations. The Organization subgroup view collapsed after a few seconds of viewing. A code change corrected this rare issue.
- Images restored to report notifications. For a brief period of time, until this code fix, email notifications indicating that QorePortal reports are available to review were missing both the Quest logo and the sample report. Images now appear as expected.
August 1, 2018
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Template labels on dashboards. By popular request, a label that displays the name of the template you are currently using has been added to the upper left corner of all dashboards. Next to the template name is the range of time you select for the widgets. For example, the time range "Last 24 hours" indicates that the data displayed in the dashboard widgets reflects the status of the reported machines over the past 24 hours. The label appears on the main dashboard as well as dashboards for other areas of the UI, such as organizations.
- Download License Key button. There is a new Download License Key button on the Licensing page of the portal. Previously, this functionality was located in the
More drop-down menu for a specific license number. Because license keys and license numbers are not directly related, the team relocated the function on the page next to the Add License button.
- Changing the license of a protected machine. The QorePortal team has added the ability to change the level of a license for a specific machine protected with the Rapid Recovery Agent software. From the Machines page, from the
More drop-down menu for any protected machine, you can assign a full license from your license pool, or downgrade a machine using a full license to a trial license. Both options appear even if an upgrade is not available. If you attempt to upgrade a machine that does not have access to a full license, the upgrade simply does not occur.
- Improved stability. Improved the resiliency of the portal to avoid failures and retry when failures do occur
July 16, 2018
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Deleting an Azure replication target. There is now the ability to delete a deployed Azure replication target from the QorePortal. You can find this action in the
More drop-down menu for the specified Core on the Cores page for the organization.
- Organizations hierarchy. Throughout the dialog boxes of the UI, in the Organizations drop-down list, you can now see the hierarchy of the root and suborganizations.
- Infrastructure improvements. The QorePortal team continues to make improvements on the back end that increase speed and performance for the portal.
Fixes
The following issues were identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Topology improvements Previously, for Cores with a large number of protected machines, the browser would freeze when trying to load the Topology page. The UI team has improved the speed and functionality of this feature.
- Sorting function. The sorting function on pages such as Cores and Repositories did not function correctly and did not sort the items according to the selected category.
July 3, 2018
Enhancements
The following enhancements have been made to the QorePortal:
- Expanded Core details in topology. On the Topology page for Organizations, the UI team has added the ability to expand the view of Core details.
- Topology performance improvements. The QorePortal team continues to make improvements that increase the speed and performance of the Topology pages.

Fixes
The following issue was identified and resolved in this release of the QorePortal:
- Unallocated disks on Azure replication target. There were unallocated disks on deployed replication targets because there were not enough letters in the English alphabet to assign to the disks. For this reason, the maximum size of a replication target deployed on Azure was 84TB, regardless of the selected repository size. Now, each disk receives a mount point instead of a letter.

New features and functions
The following features have been added to the QorePortal:
- Core details in topology. When viewing the topology of an organization, you can now click on the plus sign for a Core to view the topology of that machine. The details give a dynamic view of the relationships that Core has to other machines in the organization. Previously, to view this information, you needed to navigate away from the organization topology and go to a separate Topology page.
- Containers page. Container machines, such as virtual hosts and clusters, now have their own pages where you can view machine details, similar to the pages that already exist for Cores and protected machines. On each page, you can see the virtual machines (VM) or cluster nodes inside each container. Each VM and node also has its own page, which includes a dashboard; a topology page; lists of tasks, commands, and events; and settings. Alerts still appear at the machine level, so if a VM has an issue, the host still displays as healthy.
