Assigning a role to a user

The role assigned to a user helps determine the permissions that user has in the QorePortal. A user with the Owner or Administrator role can make changes to the role of any user in their organization or its suborganizations. To assign a role to a user, complete the following steps:

  1. In the portal, go to the Users page.
  2. Search for the name of the user for whom you want to assign a role, and then click the user name.

    Note: For information about searching for and selecting QorePortal users, see Searching for users.

    The page refreshes, showing roles for the selected user.

  3. On the Roles page, from the Roles drop-down menu, select a role from the drop-down list.

    Note: Selecting a new role replaces the user's previous role.

    Your changes are immediately applied.
