Understanding QorePortal reports
When you select a report type and define or refine report parameters, the report generates in real time, and displays at the top of the Analysis page.
Note: While the report data is collating and generating, you will see an animated set of ellipses.
You can then view the report in the browser window, save the set of parameters for the future, or set a schedule for the report to generate at a specific time with fresh data displayed.
Reports can include data about different organizations, Cores, and their protected machines. The information in a report may combine data from organizations or machines located in different time zones.
Generating a QorePortal report
To generate a report in the QorePortal, do the following:
- Navigate to the Reports section of the QorePortal.
When no report type is included in the selected objects pane, a list of all reports that you can generate displays.
- Click the report type for the report you want to generate.
The Analysis page displays. The report type you selected appears in the selected objects pane at the top of the page.
- On the Analysis page, verify or set the correct value for each available parameter to ensure
the report depicts the information you want to show.
A description of each report parameter is included in the following table.
QorePortal report parameters Parameter Included in: Description Time Period
Backup Report
Failure Report
Replication Report
Utilization ReportDefines the span of time (start and end time) included in the report. Choose only one.
Note: Be aware that date formats for time periods in QorePortal reports use a European date format (DD-MM-YYYY). At this time, the date format is not a configurable setting.
The available time period options differ based on the report selected. For a precise explanation of these time spans, see Working with time periods in QorePortal reports.
Organizations Backup Report

If no Cores appear in the list, none are accessible for the selected organizations.
Choose one or more Cores to include in your report.

If no machines appear in the list, none are accessible for the selected Cores belonging to the selected organizations.
Choose one or more protected machines to include in your report.

Working with time periods in QorePortal reports
For clarity, the following definitions apply when defining a period of time to be covered by a report in QorePortal:
- "Yesterday" means the prior calendar day, from 12:00 AM until 11:59:59 PM.
- "Today" means the current calendar day, from 12:00 AM until the current time.
- "This week" means starting from the most recent Sunday at 12:00 AM and includes data through today at the current time.
- "This month" means starting from the first calendar day of this month at 12:00 AM and includes data through today at the current time.
- "This year" means starting from January 1st of this year and includes data through today at the current time.
- "Last 2 days" means starting from yesterday at 12:00 am and includes data through today at the current time.
- "Last 7 days" means starting from 6 calendar days prior (from 12:00 AM) and includes data through today at the current time.
- "Last 30 days" means starting from 29 calendar days prior (from 12:00 AM) and includes data through today at the current time.
- "Last 365 days" means starting from 364 calendar days prior (from 12:00 AM) and includes data through today at the current time.
- "Last week" means from 2 Sundays ago (from 12:00 AM) to this past Sunday at 11:59:59 PM.
- "Last month" means from the first day of the prior calendar month at 12:00 am until the last day of the prior calender month at 11:59:59 PM.
- "Last year" means from the first day of the prior calendar year (January 1) at 12:00 AM until the last day of the prior calendar year (December 31) at 11:59:59 PM."
Understanding dates shown in QorePortal reports
To equalize the results between disparate time zones, time stamps for all data in reports are converted to and displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Using this global standard lets organizations make meaningful comparisons.
Unless you are aware of this conversion, report results may seem inaccurate. For example, if one Core is located in Accra in the Republic of Ghana (UTC 0), and a second core is located in New York City (UTC -5), a report showing information for today may include yesterday's date, since New York is five hours behind Ghana.
Working with organizations in QorePortal reports
Organizations are the top-level grouping of servers shown in the QorePortal. The Organizations drop-down list lets you run the report on all of your organizations, or only for a select few.
The information displayed in any QorePortal report is based on the logged-in user's root group.
Examples:
- If you are an MSP and a root group user, you may have multiple organizations — one for each client. From the Organizations drop-down list, you can choose to run the report on all of your organizations, only for a select few, or for only one.
- If you are a member of a child group with no sub-groups, from the Organizations drop-down list, you will only see your own organization, and the resulting report will limit the scope accordingly.
